Abstract This research paper looks at how artificial intelligence has and will impact the lives of humankind. Artificial intelligence, also known as AI, is a concept that was coined in 1956 by John McCarthy. AI is a term that is defined as, “a branch of computer science dealing with the simulation of intelligent behavior in computers” (Artificial Intelligence). It is a field that is constantly growing day by day, improving the lives of many people. However, it is also causing many issues such as an increase in the employment rate. However, there are many people who do not support AI and state that artificial intelligence will wipeout humankind while some people such as Mark Zuckerberg believe that they will improve the lives of humans and that there will be no consequences of AI. It is not known how artificial intelligence will affect humans but there will be an impact, which rises the question this research paper is trying to answer: artificial intelligence is one of the greatest discoveries of human kind, but will it affect the livelihood and jobs of people?
