Many people are good at heart because they are alway positive and the good in every negative thing. In the play “The Diary of Anne Frank,” the theme people are good at heart is developed through the characters Anne Frank, Mr.Frank, and Peter Van Daan. To start off, Anne Frank is a big part to the theme. In Act I, Scene 4, Anne thinks of her behavior every night, and how she can be a better person. Because of this, Anne brings herself down but always thinks of how she can get better. Also, in Act 1, Scene 5, she gives everybody thoughtful gifts. This shows she is good at heart because she made them herself because she wanted to bring cheer. Furthermore, Mr.Frank is also a big contributor. In Act 1, Scene 2, he takes in the Van Daans even at the worst times. This shows that he could have denied them but let them come because he was generous. Plus, in Act 1, Scene 3, he brings in Mr.Dussel without consent. He is good at heart because he could have easily been a spy or something. …show more content…

In Act 1, Scene 3 he offers his bed even though it was his own personal room. This shows that he is always willing to help. Also, In Act 2, Scene 1-2 he gives Anne someone to confide in when no-one wants to hear her feelings. He did this so he could cheer her up because she was sad. Overall, many people are good at heart and these people show it. This shows that in the worst times they were positive and were still good friendly people.
