The Golden Age in the history of the United States of America, was the one that took place in the period after the Civil War and Reconstruction, which occurred between the years of 1865-1900, it was the era in which the country's great economic expansion pipe, which was from industrial north and west and a conflict occurred with great economic and social inequalities.
This term of '' The Golden Age '' was named by writer Mark Twain in 1873, the term of the "Golden Age" meant primarily the experience of the middle class of the time, it was a experience typified by what the author Thorstein Veblen called "conspicuous consumption" and referred to all the material goods that were considered signs of good taste, and so with increasing aesthetics …show more content…

Rockefeller and oil magnate Andrew Carnegie across the steel magnate were virtually monopolized their respective industries symbolized both the "self-made man" and also the spirit of the acquisition, which dominated the nineteenth century. This same spirit is what Twain and Warner argued in The Golden Age, trying to draw your attention to the artificial standards of flavor attributed and growing US bourgeoisie, and the levels of individual incomes were increased due to factors such as improved communications resulting from the introduction of the telephone, technological innovations, such as electricity and rapid transport and through new transcontinental railroads, many people were called nouveau riche. In the Golden Age overlaps with the reconstruction, that this same era was characterized as rapid Railway, and factories, banks, stores, mines and among other business and family, and also with a dramatic expansion in the lands that were very fertile west. The Golden Age was also recalled that a period of transformation in the middle of the economy, technology, government and social customs of America, transforming forged a modern, national industrial society which had come small regional communities. The richness of this period was highlighted by the opulence of the upper class of America, and also with the increase in American philanthropy, Andrew Carnegie known as the Gospel of Wealth.
