Making a decision can significantly impact a person’s life. Jack Campbell, from the movie “The Family Man” is being portrayed as an individual who seems to attained the ideal and perfect life. However, as the plot develops, the movie implies to the audiences that Jack is lonely. He is living in this world isolated from everyone else.

Jack Campbell once had an opportunity to pursue his passion in his career. The movie utilises this opportunity and portray Jack who has an ambivalent attitude, who has uncertainty as he has to make an important decision whether he would continue pursuing his career in another country or stay with his lover. At the end, Jack decided to leave his lover and pursue his career. Years had passed and the audience of the movie may acknowledge Jack as a successful businessman who had made the right decision. In the movie, Jack was initially portrayed as a frustrated individual as he was living a new life. He argues that he once have everything, luxury, money, and fame. He was frustrated because he had the ability to grant any wishes and wants. Jack’s new life requires him to become a responsible dad who leads the family. Jack was initially frustrated but as the movie develops he soon realized that he is happy. Jack was happy with his wife and children. He loved living everyday performing daily routine with his family because he realized that his previous life as a businessman was a solitude lifestyle that is filled with boringness and emptiness.
