Before I begin to even attempt to write this paper I just want to start off by covering the fact or meaning of forgiveness or being forgiven. In my life personally there have been numerous occasions on which I have either been forgiven or I have either been forgiven or I have had to forgive someone else. I am here to tell you that it is not easy to be in either of those positions. I say this because whether you are the one who is being forgiven or you are the one who is forgiving someone else despite of who it is you are always in the spot light. I know that you are probably saying that it is good to be in the spotlight but just because it is shining it does not mean it is glistening and just because it is good does not mean that it is gold. You see in order to be forgiven you have to had been gone through a process. This process includes accepting whatever you or the other person has done in order to be in the position that you are in. The next step is to be able to slow down stop and think of the things that you can do in order to make whatever you have done better. The last step is definitely the hardest thing of all the other steps because we as human beings do not have the mental capability to access that last push that it actually takes to forgive somebody. This is one of the biggest reasons why there are so many big and dangerous crimes going on all over the world. It is because people just simply don’t know how to be dependent and open. ...e ones who helped me mainly come to the theme that I came to. Amir and Baba were the ones who confirmed my assumption of the theme of this book. Baba had to allow for himself to grip with the fact that he has to forgive his son because it is not his fault that his wife passed away while she was giving birth to their son. He finally understood that his relationship with his son was a very valuable relationship by the end of the book and he forgave his son.

In conclusion Khaled Hosseini did an extraordinary job in this playing the theme of forgiveness and the process that it takes in order to forget and be forgiven. Hassan and Amir grew further and further apart during the story making room for another case of forgiveness to occur. Throughout this book I learned many lessons that will help me in life. This book truly showed me how to forgive, forget, and let go.
