PVC Pipe 9”x 9” inches long. 6. Cut 4 pcs. PVC Pipe 3 1/4” inches diameter. 7.
5. Cut 20 inches of the half inch elastic band. Fold it along itself and sew the edges together with the cloth attached. Use the drill to make a hole the size of the given screw on the opposite edge from the vertex and use the screwdriver to safely screw it in. Then attach the washers to the other end.
Suspend this meter stick using string. • Hang 100 gram weight from the meter stick with a string a the 10 cm point on the meter stick. • Move the loop that suspends the meter stick left or right horizontally until the meter stick balances. (with the 100 g weight still attached at the 10 cm point) Procedure: (Lab part B) • Place a string at 65 cm to support the meter stick. • Find the torque produced by the off centered string support by hanging weights on the shorter end of the meter stick to make it balance.

10. Completely immerse the dialysis bag in the solution in the beaker. 11. Wait at least 30 minutes or until there is a noticeable change in the color of the solution in either the beaker or the dialysis bag. 12.
This was to see the difference between the initial temperature and the final temperature. First Test In a 250ml beaker place 100mls of water, measure the temperature of the water and record this initial temperature onto a table. Set the timer and add one teaspoon of Ammonium Nitrate to the water, stir this continuously until the Ammonium Nitrate has dissolved. After 1 minute measure the temperature and record it, do this for a further 2 minutes (3 minutes in total). Repeat this process for a total of 10 teaspoons.
SDS – PAGE (10%) PREPARATION OF GELS: RESOLVING GEL PREPARATION: 1. Pipette out 2.66 ml of 30% Acrylamide and pour in beaker. 2. Add 2 ml of Lower Tris (L-Tris, 1.5 M, 8.8 pH) to this. 3.
5. Securely tape two thin round dowel sticks in place. One stick goes from top to bottom, the other goes from side to side on your kite. Reinforce the two points on the side flaps with more tape. 6.
5. Sealing the tip of the syringes with our finger we pulled back on the plungers that took air out the leaf disks, we repeated this processes until every leaf disks in each syringes stop floating. 6. Next we set the syringes, tip up, in front of the lamp that was assign to us, which was a white light bulb. At 1 minute interval we would flip the syringes to see how many leaf disks were floating and record it.
Ruler – to measure the change in elasticity 6. A string – to ensure accurate results when measuring My Plan I will start off by suspending a rubber band from the retort stand; I will then apply different forces to the rubber band and see how the elasticity changes, with respect to the weight applied. I will measure the elasticity using the string and then see by how much the elasticity has changed. I will keep applying weights increasing in 10g until 100g is reached. In my experiment I will be varying the rubber band I use hence this is my independent variable and my results rely on this factor.
