Labor trafficking is another form of human trafficking. Labor trafficking happens when employers take advantages of the social problems, economic problems, and health problems of their employees. The story of “The ‘Boys’ in the Bunkhouse” is just one of the many stories about labor trafficking. For more than 30 years, a group of men with intellectual disabilities were working under deplorable conditions. Not to mention that these men receiving a minimum pay of $65 each month for 30 years. I feel angry to see how unethical owners of business take advantage of vulnerable workers, but what makes me feel really annoyed is the fact that they use people with disabilities. It is hard for me to imagine that for more than30 years no one realize what was happening to these men. I do not blame the people from the town for what happen to these men, but I do believe that the community did not pay attention about the red flags of human trafficking. It is also important to realize that the company is the only responsible for what happen to the workers. The company hired these men with lies and fraud; therefore the company has to pay for all the damages that the company caused to these men. However, this did not happen in this case. Like in many cases, this patterns is the same. Companies or traffickers responsible or human trafficking never get what they really deserve. In many cases, they are the less affected for what they did, but their victims get the worse. I just do not understand why the government do not have more severe laws for the people who is responsible for human trafficking. I think that biggest challenge to prosecute labor cases is the laws that exist against the people who commit the crime of labor trafficking. Therefore, if we want to punish the traffickers, it is really important to change our laws. If the laws do not change then vulnerable people would still be in the hands of the
