The “Persepolis” not only records the childhood of Marji Satrapi in Iran, but also expresses her sense of growing on the personal values and reflects the social transformation in both film and graphic novel. This scene is extremely important to the viewers because it explicitly reflects the pop culture problem without hidden any other deeper message.This particular scene educates the viewer directly about people nowadays always refuse to understand and accept the difference of the other cultures, and idea of the multiculturalism is considered as an failed attempt in today’s world, including in Iran.The movie delivers and demonstrates the message about cultural conflict to the viewer without giving any others possibilities.On other words, when the viewers simply seeing and witnessing the entire situation, they become a passive receipt of the experiences.
