Terracotta krater Greek (750–735 B.C) Greek culture is rich with traditions and is famous for its myths, arts, sculptures and architecture. Ancient Greeks situated in several lands close to the Mediterranean Sea, Turkey and south of France. Because of the contact with Egyptians, Syrians and Persians Greeks inspired and were inspired by other cultures. Like many of their cultural creations, kraters were another example. Kraters were usually a big mouthed clay/wooden vase or vessel used for stirring wine with water since Greeks used to create an extremely strong wine that needed to be mixed with water and kraters were created for it.
