A. What is Talia’s purpose in writing this letter? Do you believe she achieves her purpose effectively? Why or why not? I believe the purpose of Talia writing the letter is to basically ask for a raise in her pay. Overall I do not believe she achieves her goal effectively because although she did suggest different way the company can expand through marketing ideas and ways the company can save money by not stocking up on as much food as they do, she constantly brings up her lack of money or anger towards the distribution of pay based on jobs. As a result the letter does not have a centralized idea, she constantly tries to remind her CEO of the fact that she isn’t making enough money or her displeasure with the how much others are payed, C. Do you approve of Talia’s choice of communication channel? Why or why not? No I do not approve the choice if communication channel. This is because it is a letter addressed to her CEO and it should be sent privately to his work related email for him to read on his own time and not posted online for everyone to see. D. The internet responded with mixed review as some believed she was brave for speaking out against yelp while most believed she was a attacking her CEO through a public way online, which seemed very unprofessional. I think the outcome of her getting fired was fair because overall she dealt with the situation in a very poor manner.
