Music venues in cities have been on a down hill slop for some time now. They have gotten bad names and reputations and been on the decline ever since. The venues have gotten many noise complaints and reputations for bringing in a bad crowd. People have complained about the lack of security and regulations with in the venues. In one music venue a 17 year old boy died in 2014. After the death the regulations were forced to increase. The venue had to provide more security, more searches, and they had to report even the smallest drug findings. The venue also had to implement periods of calm. During the calm period, all music had to stop and the lights had to be turned on. With the decrease of music venues comes many issues for the industry. Taking away music venues does not just take away entertainment for the consumer. Taking music venues out of the equation takes away opportunities for musicians and entertainers to be heard. By creating new opportunities for artists, they pull in a young crowd of people looking to start living. These crowds make a perfect environment for other new businesses such as restaurants, bars, and more public transportation. All of these factors are going to bring in money to the city. They will help the city to flourish and thrive. If you take out a music venue that was already established you aren't just taking away the artists opportunities, they are taking away the cities opportunities. Music also acts a connector for diversity. Music brings people together no matter what their background and/ or orientation may be. By bringing in diversity, people will learn to be more accepting and understanding. Both traits will provide for a safer, more comfortable way of
