On November 2nd I attended the Sweet Dreams and Honky Tonks concert. The concert was about different artists and their songs from back in the golden age around 1950-1969. The songs were from the following artists: Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, and Johnny Cash. The songs that were played and sang to during the play all had very different tones, pitches and rhythms. Each song had their own tone, pitch and rhythm but it varied throughout the song whether it was high or low pitched.
Sweet dreams and Honky Tonks relates back to human aesthetics in multiple ways. It relates to the Greek Chorus in many ways. One way that this play was similar to the Greek chorus was that during the play the actors did a little dancing. In the Greek chorus …show more content…

During the Sweet Dreams and Honky Tonks concert before each song the actors would talk about the artist who had made that song and explained the significance behind the song. For example, Loretta Lynne sang the song Blue Kentucky Girl and they explained that the song writer was Johnny Mullins but she liked the song so much that she made that the name of one of her albums. Before they discussed any of Loretta Lynn’s or any of the other artists songs they talked about their background like what they were known for and when they begin a career in singing and a little bit about theirself. In the antigony Greek chorus, the chorus was made into individuals and each individual had their own role and identity. This relates to the play because there were 5 actors and each actor had their own role and identity. One actor was just in charge of singing and a little dancing, the other individuals were in charge of playing their own instruments which included the drums, base player, steel guitar and a banjo. Each individual on stage had their own role during the songs and not all of them did their role at the same time. As in the Greek chorus the actors on
