Title In the book, Till the end of June, by Cris Beam. The overall theme is about foster care. Foster care in relation with the kids, the parents who take care of the kids, and the corporations that oversee the foster parents care and guidance. The book is broken up by parts, each part has different foster parents caring for different foster children. A lot of the book is regulations that both the kids and the parents must undergo. A lot of kids have come from dysfunction homes and are either forced to foster care or our put there by the choice of the parent(s). I believe the author was trying to accomplish the fact of what the kids and parents go through in tough situations. When Cris Bean was writing the book, he mentioned a couple of times the fact of how traumatizing it can be for kids who end up in foster care. When a kid is placed into the foster care system, it can be very stressful and disorientating the first few days. Probably the hardest part is wrapping your head around the fact that now a child is in the foster care system and why are they there. Many kids that are older probably did not have to follow many rules since the biological parents where perhaps on drugs, alcohol, or not even being there at all. So, living in a new house with rules can be a very difficult thing to follow, or even if the child has reasoning for right and wrong. …show more content…

Some of the parents can only handle so many children at a time until they get so over burried they either drop out of the system, or start to send children back to find a different home to stay at. Foster parents are not allowed to get to attached to any one child, for a couple of reasons. One being they might end up adopting the child, or two they start to give more attention to that one child and start to neglect the other children.
