Falling in love with signal processing and motivated by machine learning, computer vision and computational neural science, I want to pursue my dream of becoming a researcher and a professor in those fields. In order to achieve that dream, I need additional education and research experience. Therefore, I decided to pursue a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering.
As a graduate student, I am excited to explore the fields of signal processing, machine learning and computer vision. More ambitiously, I want to develop faster and more reliable learning and vision algorithms to extend the capability of computers. Personally, I believe that with machine learning and computer vision, one day, computers can perform most of the tasks that only humans can perform.
I am also fascinated to do research in computational neural science. Human brain is the most perfect system that we have known so far. It sends, receives and processes signals fast and reliably. As a future graduate student, my goal is to contribute to scientific discoveries that will uncover the mysteries of the human brain using rigorous experimental methods and state of the art research and imaging techniques. While humanity has studied the intricacies of the ocean and the vast expanses of space, we are humbled because we know less about the frontier that exists within us than the one that exists beyond us.
As our research into science and technology ever increases its seems inevitable that in the near future Artificial Intelligent machines will exist and become part of our everyday life such as we see with modern computers today.

Now, on the brink of completing my first year of university studies, I look forward to my future. Having been captivated by computation and mathematics since a young age, I intend to attend graduate school, eventually attaining a doctorate in computer science, delving into research in high-performance computing, computer graphics, or algorithm analysis. While I was in high school, not only was I an active volunteer in several activities such as food drives and helping those in need, in addition to community work, but also I became invested in engineering sciences due to my perceptions regarding the importance of electrical engineering to an emerging industrial country such as mine. Therefore, as I was to graduate soon, I decided to specialize in this science as a student and future professional. Fortunately, through my undergraduate studies, not only did I found the science to be highly intriguing and vast giving way access to endless disciplines, but I have also found that it is very much correlated to numerous other sciences. From my perspective, excellent electronic engineers are a group of gifted and imaginative talents who bravely explore and innovate, change the world with passion and innovation. I have always dreamed of becoming one of them. For realizing this dream, I started from China 's Jilin University and then joined The University of Manchester for BEng (Hons) Electronic Engineering to take more advanced professional courses. In UoM, I managed to gain GPA of 4.0. Yet, my pursuit of the dream does not end there, since I plan to apply for M.S. program in Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Carnegie Mellon University, where I can receive the best education among the world.
