“Ain’t I a Woman?” by Sojourner Truth is a speech about discrimination. In this speech, Truth expresses her feelings as a Black woman. Back in the 1800s women were considered dolls and as showed on paragraph 2, they needed to be protected, while Blacks were considered inferior as well, animals even. In the introduction of this speech, Truth mentions a “fix” that the white men are in. This “fix” is that their beliefs are being challenged, they are realizing that perhaps they are wrong, perhaps white and black women, as well as white and black men are the same.
