Anthem and The Hunger Games Anthem was written by Ayn Rand was a dystopian society where one person sees that nothing is going right. This one person’s name is Equality 7-2521 shares a trait with another dystopian hero. Her name is Katniss Everdeen. They were both part of a dystopian societies. they also were the reason why things changed and started to go good. Teens all around the world can relate to theses stories in their own ways, whether it is from school, or even their parents. Anthem is a dystopian society story. Everything was split apart by the Capitol into thirteen districts. But district thirteen was destroyed by the capitols because they didn't follow what the Capitol had wanted them to do. District twelve was the home of Katniss Everdeen. She was very troubled with the fact that every year the Capitol would have celebrate with a game. This game was where one girl and one boy would be chosen from each of the twelve districts, to fight until one winner was left standing. If you put your name into the jar that they draw the name out of more than you need to, then you would get a reward. Katniss did this every year so that way her family wouldn't starve. Her mom and her sister are the only thing she has, but sadly her sister was drawn for the games, but Katniss wouldn't allow it. She volunteered for her little sister instead. So therefore she would have to fight her way to survive. If she wins. Then she will be safe from the drawing for ever. Her mentor Haymitch and the other fighter Peta make their way up to the Capitol. They both have to present their skills in from of the Capitol. Katniss's skill is shooting the bow and arrow. Her first shot she misses, so they lose interest in what she is doing, so she shoots and apple right of one of the capitols game maker's hands. Each person was evaluated and scored. The higher you scored the better. She had the highest score out of every other person that went thought the trial. Haymitch and her think this is strange, because she could have killed him. Soon they would all have to enter the games, and try to survive. Haymitch thinks that she should try to just run instead of going for the bow, so that way she wouldn't get killed right away. So once the game started,she did what he said. She ran for awhile seeing people being killed left and right. But she had managed to survive for that moment.
