Greasers and socs are like the two sides of a town the greaser are the east and the socs are the west they are similar with a few differences . The greaser are the greasy long haired rugged side of the town . The socs are the rich fancy kids with mustangs . The socs and greasers at points have similarities like their treated poorly by their parent and by random people and that most of them have bad home lives and get in fights or sleep on the street. Sometimes the greasers can be deep down and emotional unlike the socs that are stone hearted . In the book one of the socs get killed because of the greaser and socs differences some find it funny to drown people in water and some don't so usually it end in a fight or death i looked at the picture
It came to mind that after the movie, Two-bit realized that Cherry and Marcia did not have a ride home. So they walk to Two-bit’s house to get the car. As they walk, Ponyboy and Cherry talk about the differences between Socs and greasers and how they act and how poor or rich they are. Later on Ponyboy finds himself talking to Cherry about Sodapops old horse Mickey Mouse. Then Ponyboy realizes that two different worlds we live in are not so different after all because we look at the same sunset everyday. Until Marcia spots a blue mustang that belongs to the socs. At first, the socs didn’t notice them until they see their girlfriends hanging out with the greasers. When the socs get out of the mustang they defend their girls then turn to the greasers.

In the book The Outsiders, written by S.E. Hinton, Ponyboy, along with his brothers and friends, has to face the daily struggles of being a greaser among the Socs. This fiction book focused on Ponyboy’s life and the problems he ran into with the Socs. He and his gang of friends had fights with the Socs that happened often, and had to deal with a Soc being killed by one of the Greasers, though it was an act of self defense. The three topics addressed in this intriguing novel are the fight between rich and poor, the power of friendship, and what it means to be a hero.
The book The Outsiders is the realistic story about this between two very different groups in a town in the United States: the poor Greasers from the east side, and the Socs, whitch is what the greasers call the socials, the richer boys from the other side of the town. Ponyboy Curtis is the narrator of the story, a 14-year-old boy who lives with his two older brothers, Darry and Soda. He is a pretty good athlete and student, but is not treated the same as the richer students at his school. Ponyboy uses to have long hair that he greases back, a symbol of being in the outsider gang. He is unhappy with his situation, because Darry is too protective of him and he always has to be afraid of Socs attacking him.

One reason that the Greasers are a disgrace to society was because of their looks. From just looking at them you could tell that they meant mischief. Greasers are real people just like Socs, but they do not fit in as easily. They feel as though they don’t belong anywhere. Or in other words, they are outsiders. Hence the title name. Ponyboy especially feels like this due to the fact that he does not fit in very well with Socs or Greasers. The rest of Pony’s gang feels more like the fit as Greasers. In conclusion, the title of the novel fits with the theme because they do not fit in anywhere, and they are outsiders.
The bigger picture includes the city of Newark, which both of them call home. This connects them in that they go to the same places, and when someone asks them where they live, as Brenda asks Neil, they would both answer “Newark” (12). They also are both looked down upon because they live in Newark; it is considered a slum where the black people are “taking over the city” (35), and “you know what they do in there” (35). Neil’s family is a working class, relatively poor family, just as the black boy’s family is also poor and working class, although more so than Neil’s. Neil and the black boy have a lot in common in terms of their homes, and even neighborhoods.
This book showed the struggle between rich and poor. The two main groups of the story were the Socs and the greasers. The Socs are in the upper class while the greasers are the poor ones that dislike the Socs because they have more money, better cars, and act like they are better than the greasers. The Outsiders is a good story by S.E. Hinton that shows the struggles of growing up Hinton did a fine job with the character development, the plot, and the theme with a few flaws.

This movie is filled with shocking details and scenes; it shows that each character, whom all are residents of L.A. is different, but shares the same assumptions, fears, and hopes. While watching the movie, I was feeling sorry for the couple who were car jacked, but then later saw how the lady assumed that the Hispanic man was a criminal. Peter is involved in carjacking a vehicle, but is later shot dead by Officer Hansen. Shaniqua was belittled and yelled at by Officer Ryan, but later shows her yelling and berating another driver involved in an accident, at the end of the movie.
