One big struggle in todays world is being a leader and doing what is best for the people and not just yourself.In George Orwell’s Animal Farm, the Russian Revolution is represented by a group of animals who take over Manor farm. The leader, Napoleon is a corrupt leader and throughout the story he does things that only benefit himself. In George Orwell’s classic, Joseph Stalin,a dictator in the Russian Revolution, is represented by Napoleon a pig from the book. Napoleon and Stalin both are a excellent reflection of one another: they both have similar traits, such as, being corrupt, liars, and misleading. In the Russian Revolution, there were many things that caused the Revolution: Social causes, economic causes, political causes and military causes. To obtain more supporters, Stalin used the media as a source of propaganda. He only used media that would benefit him, so people would want him as a leader (Joseph Stalin and Napoleon). In the book, Napoleon had squealer as a source of propaganda as well, Squealer supported him and always convinced the animals that he was doing the right thing (Joseph Stalin and Napoleon). They both had their own ways of making people think they were great leaders. Stalin had one person who was rising in power who could easily overthrow him: Trotsky. To stop Trotsky from getting more power, Stalin ordered someone to kill him (Joseph Stalin and Napoleon). Snowball was gaining a lot of trust among the animals aswell , and they chose him as leader.
