MSNBC and FOX MSNBC is one of America’s most popular news agency that happen to follow closely behind FOX news. Both agencies have many similarities as well as many differences. MSNBC got its start when NBC, and Microsoft joined forces to create the news giant in 1996. The news agency was made to directly compete with CNN by offering more coverage and longer more detailed reports, as well as NBC being the largest TV company in America they began to gain massive popularity. The news agency has been known to be moderate to extremely liberal on many occasions. The network does this by using strong, or emotional wording in hopes of influencing the public on liberal agenda. They often do not report on any damaging or controversial behavior involving the liberal causes. On the other hand share no remorse on sharing detrimental stories for the conservative ideologies. In reality many liberals often call Fox News, “Faux New” because of the questionable content that it shares with its audience. Some criticism that Fox News has gathered over the years is that it very right-wing, often times degrading liberal ideas and politicians, while at the same time voicing more favorable content for the Republican agenda. Fox News is also known as a “propaganda machine”, because during recent presidential elections Fox News seemed to show more damaging facts on the liberal candidate verses the republican counterpart. Many people found this to be unfair and one sided to trust. The same study conducted by Aaron Sharockman about public trust in MSNBC found that 60% of viewers find Fox News untrustworthy, compare that to the 44% untrustworthiness MSNBC
