The movie silver linings playbook is about two people who suffered from unexpected events that took in their lives. Pat, who suffered from bipolar disorder could not bear the fact that his wife had left him. Tiffany, another major character in the story, her husband’s death left her on the verge of breaking apart. Both of these characters could not deal with the circumstances that shook their world. Pat, who was still in love with his wife, had spent months in a mental hospital. He was released from the hospital and moved in with his parents. While they go through a therapy, they met each other at a dinner. Tiffany was immediately attracted to pat as if she had found a shoulder to cry on. Pat resisted her advances because he wanted to stay faithful to his separated wife. With the efforts of his friends, and his therapist, pat agreed to be friends with Tiffany only in exchange to have a letter deliver to Nikki by Tiffany. Since Pat could not meet Nikki because it would be against the restraining order, he found a way to communicate with her through Tiffany. Tiffany agreed to his condition. However, she realized that people have always asked her for favors and she had never gotten anything in return. She felt she had been exploited due to her kindness and decided to ask for something in return from Pat. She asked Pat to be her dance partner to be in a dance competition. Pat as it was expected immediately refused. However, then came to terms with the offer because he was convinced this was the only way he could get Nikki back. For the next several days, they practiced together at Tiffany’s dance studio. Tiffany had fallen in love with Pat and tried to seduce him in vain. Pat repeatedly asked for Nikki’s response to the letter. However, in the meantime, both of them showed great progress in controlling their belligerent behavior. He is determined to get back together with his wife, Nikki, despite all the signs that say she does not want to be with him - such as the restraining order she filed against him. Pat meets recently widowed Tiffany Maxwell (played by Jennifer Lawrence), who is suffering from depression and overcoming a sex addiction that ensued from the death of her husband. Tiffany offers to help deliver Pat’s letters to Nikki if he enters a dance competition with her. As the movie goes on, Pat and Tiffany’s relationship progresses and they learn to cope with their issues.
In this musical, it uses several types of narratives, for example, after the fight between the Jets and Puerto Ricans, after the police leave, they enter the ally and the girl is begging to join the gang saying how much she wants to fight is a part of narrative sexuality (B 34). The girl is more of a tom boy who wants to be like one of the guys.
The West Side Story portrays the lives of two different gangs living in America, as well as their beliefs and examples of living a good life. The expectations of what people consider the good life to be may vary on a person’s morals and their dreams of what life is truly about. In this movie, whether or not these characters were good people, lived a good life, or lived in a good society is a very controversial topic.

When you think of the word “poverty” or “poor” what comes to mind? Some think of hunger, minorities, dirty areas, women, and homeless people. What about when you hear the term “abuse”? For most people, abuse means physical; getting beat up or hit. Although abuse can mean getting beat up or hit, there is far more that follows. Abuse can take on many forms like physical, emotional or sexual. The film Precious by Lee Daniels, based on the novel Push by Sapphire, encounters not only the obvious sexual abuse but physical and emotional abuse as well. Precious starts off with Claireece Precious Jones, played by Gabourey Sidibe, at her school in Harlem. She is called to the office because the principal has found out she is pregnant…Again. Kicked out of school, Precious now tries to find an alternative when her principal tells her about “Each One Teach One”, an alternative school. Precious enrolls and goes through a journey with her new teacher, who becomes her closest friend, her newborn son, and her abusive mother. This drama film is brutal, hard-hitting, and very emotional.
The book I read and am doing a presentation on is called Saving Private Ryan by Max Allen Collins. Saving Private Ryan is about the heroism of soldiers of soldiers and their duty during wartime, World War Two. This story is to remind you, the reader, that war is nothing but hell, orders on the front line can be brutal, and absurd. The story is set in Europe of 1944, as the Nazis are still advancing and taking over cities and countries. On June 6th, 1944, Captain Miller, and hundreds of other men leave Europe to accomplish one mission, Operation Overlord, also known as D-Day. When they get there, there will be a new task awaiting them.
Frank Darabont (writer-director-producer) in 1999, returned to the director’s chair for the first time in five years. Darabont, who not only directed Shawshank Redemption, but adapted it from a Stephen King story, followed the exact same path with The Green Mile. The film was released by Warner Bros. April moves forward with Jackson, despite her skepticism, and they get married. The beginning of their relationship is sweet, happy, and for lack of better words, easy. The smoothness of the relationship continues until April comes pregnant and loses the child. They attend and complete couple’s therapy, which initially helps them both to be able to move past their miscarriage. If the two would have not attended therapy their relationship would not have survived, due to how hard it was on them both. Therapy was the only way April was able to open up to Jackson and express her feelings after the loss of their unborn child.

However, Ruth believed that she and Tommy belonged together and asked Kathy to convince Tommy to get back together with her. Tommy and Ruth begin dating again and remain dating until they leave the Cottages. With Kathy’s loyalty to both Ruth and Tommy, Ruth and Tommy’s relationship constantly complicates the dynamics of their friendship. However, Ruth saw the special relationship between Kathy and Tommy all along and did not admit it until she and Tommy are donors and Kathy is a carer. She tried to see what was making them bark, but she saw nothing. Not knowing it was Eddie who followed her home and was trying to get to her to apologize. After a few attempts, he was able to slip a note on her window. Rose saw the note, she went down to meet with him, where he apologized and offered to buy her dinner. He took her to a fancy restaurant, although the waiter attempted to hinder them from getting in, but they were able to find a way in. While they were having dinner, Eddie bought only Rose food, because he could only afford one meal. When Rose found out, she split the food into two, so he could have some. They both had dinner, and afterwards walked into a club where she hopes to play soon, and then to a
