Recommended: Arguments against uniforms in secondary schools

Do you like to be unique and express yourself by wearing the clothes you like?! Well you can't if your school has school uniforms. One of my reasons i'm against school uniforms is that schools can spend up to $1 billion dollars per year on school uniforms. Schools think that having school uniforms are better for the school but they're not,instead of buying the up to date textbooks the are spending money on school uniforms. Lots of parents want the best education for their kids. If schools are spending money on uniforms they can't buy lots of things that can actually help the students. Schools can't pay their electric bills if they are spending money on uniforms. That is my first reason why there should be no school uniforms. My second reason is that school uniforms can stop kids from there freedom of expressing themselves. It can also kill courage and creativity. The first amendment states that all individuals have the right to express themselves freely. If they wear school uniforms the can't express themselves freely, like the first amendment states. Students won't know what matches and what doesn't match if they have to wear school uniforms. That is my second reason why there should be no school uniforms. …show more content…

In one high school, students were learning how to standout and be themselves. Even know they can't express themselves in the hallways. Students should be able to be themselves and not what someone else wants them to be. This is there life to live it how they won't and not how someone else wants them to live
