Should Any Cell Phone Use In Cars Be Against the Law? The cell phone is very popular all over the world, and it also offers many advantages to improve lives. New technology phones are built with a clear camera and global positioning systems, which is very useful when traveling. Because of those great benefits, most people cannot stay away from their cell phone. Does a cell phone only giving good benefits? In fact, a cell phone creates numerous troubles to our daily living, and cell phone use while driving is one of the top major issues that put our lives at the risk. Over million people die per year from cell phone use accident. Using the phone in the car could create tunnel vision which eliminates peripheral vision that holding the driver from seeing other cars coming from the left or right. That false vision could cause a serious accident. In Cambodia, at least, five to six people die daily from accidents, and cell phone use while driving is the main root cause of those accidents. Until today, Cambodian's government still has never created any law against cell phone use behind the wheel yet. Many young people cannot stay away from their phone even though they stay behind the wheel which requires full attention. Those young people should be considered to be a primary concern because accident more likely happening most of those group of people. People who disagree said, cell phones are not all dangerous unless you are texting and playing the game while driving. This statement is wrong. A cell phone is a distracting device which captures the driver attention on the road no matter if that person only holding conversation or texting. Janet P.
