My short-term career goal expectation is to work as a paralegal and this is the job that I ‘am focusing on at this point. I plan on earning my paralegal certificate and work at a law firm that will provide me with the proper training. I plan to take the law school admission test to enroll in law school while I ‘am working as a paralegal. Also, I ‘am going to work full-time as a paralegal and attend law school as a part-time student to help me balance my life. Furthermore, I think being a full-time paralegal will help me pay my bills and my student loans. I believe being a paralegal will benefit me in a lot of ways. Also, I want a firm that put their clients first and will not give them wrong advice or settle cases to take the easy way out. Being a lawyer will give me a chance to help others and to give back to society. Also, I would like to have my own law firm with dedicated lawyers fifteen years from now. Furthermore, I would like to make over eighty thousand dollars after five years on the job because I have some debts that I need to pay back. Moreover, I want four-week vacation time off every year and at least ten paid holidays per year. In my 12 years of practice, I have been employed with a wide variety of law firms. When I decided to open my own practice, I started thinking about the qualities that make up the best law firms. In determining the best law firms do you include things such as employee benefits, firm culture and employee turnover rates? Or do you focus on the qualities that affect a law firm's most precious commodity - the client? My take on this is that the best law firms employ quality attorneys and staff with the highest of ethical standards and the desire to fight within their ethical bounds for their clients.
