When I was a little girl, my grandma use to take care. Our schedule was simple. I’d come over before my mom went to work, we’d get a bowl of corn flakes (extra sugar), and turn on Sesame Street at 11am on PBS23. I was so amazed by all the colors and characters that I didn’t even realize that I had an extensive vocabulary for a child that hadn’t been to school yet. Cornflakes and Sesame became our thing. Eventually, Sesame Street started coming on twice a day and I started attending daycare. Our cornflakes and sesame street routine would come to an end, but I wouldn’t learn the importance of it until I grew a little older. For US Social Impact, I think I offer a lot of perspectives and will be able to properly examine the impact and present ways to increase the impact within the country. Public Relations is all about image. When I think of Sesame Street, I think of representation. If selected as the Public Relations intern, I’ll make it my greatest to put representation on the forefront in any publicity project I work on. Lastly, for Media and Publishing, I think it’s the category I have the most experience in it. I have work extensively trying to gain knowledge of the media industry.
