In a fake satirical article from Clickhole.com titled: "One For The Road: SeaWorld Has Realized People Will Be Mad At It No Matter What It Does So It’s Just Going To See How Fat It Can Make A Dolphin Before It Goes Bankrupt", the controversial theme park SeaWorld took to twitter to rant about how all of its staff have completely given up trying to appease and make amends with the general public over their past controversies. Because of low sales and popularity, the company is inevitably going to go bankrupt within the near future. So, in a last-ditch effort to amuse themselves the staff have decided to fatten up a dolphin to extreme proportions by feeding it fattening foods such as bacon grease, frosting, fun dip and other unhealthy foods just to entertain themselves. …show more content…

Incongruity theory works here because of the unexpectedness of the whole situation. We expect a company like SeaWorld to run an amusement park with some level of professionalism, but when an article shows pictures of SeaWorld's official twitter page announcing that they will fattening a dolphin until it's the size of jet engine because they're going bankrupt completely catches people off their guard because no normal human being would think to do this. Benign Violation Theory could also apply to this article because this event brought no harm to anyone. No dolphins weren't actually getting hurt because everything was fabricated by Clickhole. The humorous insults and profanity on the fake SeaWorld Twitter account had no harmful effects on
