Socioeconomics ,or known as SES, extremely affects our society as a whole. SES influences the quality for youth and families by our development across our lifespan and our mental and physical health. SES furthermore indicates the control of your psychological health. Either for the good or the bad. The American Psychological Association stated, “It is commonly conceptualized as the social standing or class of an individual or group. The payment for raping women woman, especially black men raping white woman, is was enormous. Two weeks later, they were convicted and were facing execution. The main focus in America and mostly the south was racism and slavery. The scottsboro nine case took a massive defense movement. There was a national protest campaign to change their conviction. There was also street marches, international and national speaking tours, songs that were written about the scottsboro nine. Later on in the whole debate, one of the woman who accused the nine that they raped her joined a defense committee of the scottsboro nine to save their lives. In 1937 the lives of the nine were saved. Even though it was almost 20 years before the last defendant was set free.
