Ruby Tuesday’s Code of Ethics Describe key areas of the selected company's code of conduct that are of significant importance to the business, and explain why. A code of ethical conduct contains written morals to prevent misconduct within the workplace. Ruby Tuesday encourages employees to promote honest and ethical conduct both personally and professionally. It is important to stay compliant with both government laws and Ruby Tuesday’s guidelines. By leaking information such as: recipes, sales, and security it can cost them in many ways. Competitors can steal recipes or know their revenues which can be used against them. If someone untrustworthy found out the security code to the restaurant that allows them the upper hand for robbing them. There are many other reasons confidentiality is important for it can ruin a business if it is not followed. Explain the key steps that the company should take to ensure that employees follow the code of conduct. In the implementation of the code of conduct section it states that as a part of the hiring process all employees are required to acknowledge and sign the following statement: “I have received and read the Ruby Tuesday, Inc. Code of Ethical Conduct for Financial Professionals. I understand that the Code represents the policies of Ruby Tuesday, Inc.” …show more content…

(McGowen) The obvious main goal of any business is to gain long-term profits. Without profits, a business is less-likely to make contributions. After researching different social responsive activities, I found a few that I believe would be a good fit for Ruby Tuesday’s. Portion of Profits I set percent of each dollar made in a selected time period is donated to a chosen cause. For example: The company (RED) which was designed to help fight against AIDS globally. A set few companies such as Coca-Cola donate a portion of their sales in a three year time period. Other businesses set up a much shorter time period such as a week or month. At my work, 3 Matadors, we recently held a fund raiser for a young girl to get a kidney transplant. For one week, 20% of our total sales at the restaurant were donated to her fund call Hello Kidney. BOGO-Buy One Give One Buy One Give One is where the company donates an exact item match for every item sold. For example, TOM shoes will donate a pair of shoes for each pair purchased to a less fortunate person in over 60 different countries.
