There I lay in bed, tormented by the same question.The kind of question those who seem to have all the answers, simply cannot answer.The kind of question that runs through your head after a bizarre dream.The kind of question those who are closest to death ask themselves.But I wasn't close to death, nor was I waking up from a wild dream.I was simply a regular seventeen year old boy fearing the life that would come after graduation.Staring at the ceiling, I took a deep breath and exhaled as the question raced across my mind once again,”what’s next”, Being the oldest child, I had adopted the “Going with the flow” mindset at an early age.I was always described as carefree and laid-back.There were no expectations for me to be held to.Much like playing a new game, the first person that plays automatically sets a high score.I had nobody to beat.This at first came as a blessing without a curse;almost like a gift. This opened up many doors for me.I quickly became aware of all my options but not as quickly as another question appeared.A question I would have an even harder time answering,”Will I be happy with my choice?”As simple of a question as this may have seemed, I couldn't formulate an answer.I had already thought of all my options but figuring out which one would ensure happiness in the end was like playing the shell game,a game in which the player has to track the movement of a small object, such as a ball under a cup while the cup is mixed up with many others.This took a toll on my brain.It was like being thrown back to step one.What if I pick the wrong cup? What if the ball is not even there to begin
