This was a time about seven years ago, I was six or seven years old and I had a huge fear of roller coasters. They always seemed too high and unsafe from my point of veiw. So when we went to the yeti themed roller coaster, "Mount Everest" in themiddle of the night at Disney World, I was shaking in my boots! "You'll be fine," My older brother Alex exclamied."you think something as stable as that could break? As we were in the line, everytime we inched forward, my heart beated faster and faster. My brother must have known I was afraid, so he told me "Dude, I've been on many roller coasters before and none of them have broke!" I was still very nervous, and prayed to god that I could make it out alive. I was so busy worring, that when I finnaly
It was the summer of 2012 and my family was taking another trip to Six Flags Great America. Earlier that summer we went just for me to be disappointed. At the time I wasn’t 54 inches yet and couldn’t ride any of the rides that I wanted to because they were the most popular at the amusement park. But, I hit a growth spurt between trips and we planned to ride all of the big rollercoasters. The one that I was most terrified of at the time was Raging Bull, one of the tallest, fastest, and longest steel coasters in the US. As we started to wait in line for the ride I was shaking with both anticipation and fear and began to rethink my idea to ride the rollercoaster. I decided to stay in line and see what many people thought was a great coaster.
There is an immense amount of rides in Walt Disney World. Some of the most famous rides are The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Space Mountain, and the Rock 'n' Rollercoaster starring Aerosmith. Also known as The Tower of Terror, this incredibly detailed attraction takes people very high up so they can see out the window for just a second, until it drops them to what seems like their doom. This is done repeatedly, until the ride comes to stop. Another thrilling ride is Space Mountain. On this mostly pitch black journey, riders are pulled into action in ups and downs. Another exhilarating
When I was about 10 years old, my mom took me to a roller coaster theme park in Massachusetts. I was terribly afraid of the huge roller coaster that appeared in front of me, and while I waited in line, the anxiety of waiting to die in a roller coaster made my heart beat through my chest.
A roller coaster demonstrates kinetic energy and potential energy. A marble at the top of the track has potential energy. When the marble rolls down the track, the potential energy is transformed into kinetic energy. Real roller coasters use a motor to pull cars up a hill at the beginning of the ride. Cars that are stopped at the top of the hill have potential energy. As the car rolls down the hill, the potential energy becomes kinetic energy
Have you ever been on a roller coaster.? Well I have. Roller coasters are fun and scary at the same time. It’s like your heart drops to your feet and your chest comes up to your throat. That feeling is awesome.! Have you ever ridden the furry 365 at carowinds? That is an insane roller coaster. I bet you haven’t ridden the tennessee tornado.? I rode it with my dad it was fun and scary at the same time. On the roller coaster you go from loop to loop. There are at least three loops in the whole track all spread out. But it is fun anyway, in fact it is so fun that you will want to ride it over and over again. I hope you get to ride the fire express. It is in tennessee. My dad,my brother, and I all rode the fire express together and had A good time.
When the plane started moving, I started to freak out a bit, but my sister was enjoying the ride. I was clutching the armrest of my seat so hard, my knuckles turned white. The plane went so fast, so I flew back into my seat.
I lost my shoes that night to cause they fell off in the lake so my mom had to make me some it was pretty funny. I wouldn't say it was the best experience, but it sure wasn't the worst. Now for the funny part, Some of my worst experiences. i was about eleven so not that long ago we were down in the racetrack area we had found and we hadn't been there for a while and noticed there was a hill of rocks about four feet high so we decided to ride up them because it was flat on the top. I was scared like normal, so my grandpa said “ why don't you go ahead and do the throttle?” I was okay with that so I got ready my grandpa was behind me ready to steer and right when I pushed the throttle I pushed just a little too much and we tipped the four wheeler on top of us, we were crushed between the rocks and the four wheeler for about ten minutes and now when I run I think that's why my knee messes up all the time cause I got a rock stuck in it. Another experience is I was riding my sister around I was ten, she was five I had her up front so she would be safe and we pulled into the driveway because i needed a drink. We stopped and my mom got us a drink, I was turned around talking to my grandpa on the four wheeler no one was paying attention to my sister and while we were talking she pressed the throttle and we crashed into the
So I was looking forward to this ride just to see my grandma like that. The ride itself was more of a sit and see ride. We sat on a boat, and it would move slowly so we could see all of the little figurines from the different cultures move and dance. As the ride went on, the song “It’s a Small World After All” would play, and I would look at my grandma and she would have this happy face and she would be clapping along to the music. I myself enjoyed the ride because it was meant to be a happy ride, and let me tell you, it was certainly was happy. Those rides were really fun to go on, but they didn’t give that intense feeling that I was looking for. Enter Splash mountain, my personal favorite ride from the Magic Kingdom. This reason this was my favorite ride is that when we went on it, we all got soaked. It was kind of funny listening to my family react to getting wet, especially my grandma because she hates getting wet. Plus when we went down the long slide at the end, my heart felt like it went out of my chest. It was an exhilarating ride, and I had a good time on
What most people expect to hear is me looking forward to riding the roller coasters. I hope that’s not what you thought because I hate them, maybe not hate, but really I’m just not a big fan of high altitudes in general. Consequently, this is why I was always reluctant to going with my family on this trip. Nevertheless I always went. Now that you know I’m not a fan of heights you could guess what attractions I was accustomed to riding, let’s just say my height requirement was more than enough to be eligible to ride. This specific year I decided to bring a friend to accompany me and in hindsight that was a bad idea because he was a roller coaster
After that awesome ride, my sister tried to convince me to go on the Cannibal. I tried to face my fear of that coaster, but i didn’t. My sister ended up going on it with my mom. My mom said it was he favorite ride. She even tried to convince me, but I still didn’t go on. I was too scared of it for some stupid reason. We then let our little brother pick some rides he wanted. He wanted a smaller coaster. We went on that one. He loved it. He had so much fun on it. We also went on the Bat. That one was
heart was beating so fast I thought I would faint at any minute. I saw
I went to Las Vegas one year to and visited a hotel called Circus Circus. The strange thing about this hotel is that inside this hotel lied an indoor amusement park. The place was filled with scary rides. But the ride I went on one day was extreme. It was called the Inverter and it was like being at the top of a thrill drop but upside down, side to side, and backwards. I got onto the ride and was not scared at all. We went up about 150 feet before things got crazy. At one point, I felt like I was stuck upside down. When I looked down, I felt like I was going to puke. But that was just the start. The whole things swayed side to side and then it flipped a lot. I felt like I was going to puke. My brother was on that ride also, and he was fine.
In fact, from that first time on that ride, ever since then I’ve been trying multiple things I never wanted to. For example, last summer, I tried out going on a rope course. I’ve done them before but that one was different. It was higher up and a lot of different obstacles. I went to try it because I remembered that trying new things can be terrifying but it can also be extremely fun. I went on the highest level there was and went through it all, occasionally wanting to just jump off and leave but I did not. Ever since I tried that rope course, it made me a little less afraid of heights which I’m so grateful
People could say that my life is similar to that of a car ride; where there are bumps in the road that can or cannot be avoided; when there are times when the car ride is rough or smooth; when it is lonely or populated with loved ones; and how the car will keep going at different speeds until it has run out of gas. My life has been filled with its typical ups and downs, excitements and fears, and its fair share of accomplishments and failures. I come from a world that I did not want to be a part of, but looking back on it now, I feel that the events I experienced in my past have shaped me into who I am today.
When I heard my parents talking about going to Disney World I was so excited. It was a long trip down to Florida and I could not sit still, because I was so excited. We finally arrived that evening and decided to stay in a hotel near the theme park. When it was time for bed I could not go to sleep for a long time, because I was so excited about going at Disney world. When I saw the big mirror ball from the entrance, I was amazed. Disney world had a wide variety of rides. There were tons of rides that shocked me. Some of these rides made you feel like you were riding in a jet because of how fast they were. There was even a roller coaster ride in the huge mirror ball. It was a slow ride, but I still liked it because there was air conditioning inside the ball. We spent all day at the park until we had ridden everything. That night Disney World had a firework show. The fireworks seemed like they lasted forever with the amazing colors bursting in the air one right after another. When the firework show finally ended my parents told me that it was time to leave. I was...
