Rhoda Abbott was a 3rd class passenger of the Titanic. Rhoda was born on Tuesday January 14, 1873, in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England. She boarded the Titanic in Southampton England on April 10, 1912. She and her two sons were planning on getting to East Providence Rhode Island, where they were originally from before she and her two sons moved to live with Rhoda’s mother. Rhoda was married to Stanton Abbott, but then got divorced before the sinking of the Titanic. After the sinking of the Titanic Rhoda returned to live in East Providence Rhode Island, grieving the death of her two sons. Before Rhoda embarked on the Titanic with her two sons Eugene Abbott, and Rossmore Abbott. Rossmore Edward Abbott was born on Friday February 21, 1896 in East Providence, Rhode Island. Rossmore was 16 years of age when he and his mother and brother boarded the Titanic. Rossmore was not single and unfortunately never married, because we lost his life in the disaster of the Titanic. Eugene Joseph Abbott was born on Friday March 31, 1899 in East Providence, Rhode Island. Eugene was 13 years of age when he and his mother and brother boarded the Titanic. Eugene, the same as his brother, was never married, and died somewhere in the disaster of the sinking of the Titanic. Rhoda’s cabin was close to Amy Stanley’s. Amy was a 3rd class survivor on the Titanic, who was only a mere 24 years old. On the night that the Titanic sank, Rhoda Abbott and her two sons jumped of the deck into the below freezing water. Rhoda was saved by boat A, but unfortunately her sons were lost at sea and she and others were unable to find them. Rhoda suffered from severe leg damage, due to the water temperatures. When she was on the Carpathia they said that she was unable to move, and was put onto a makeshift bed that was said to be in the smoke
