Recommended: The political zheng he impacts

The Ming dynasty made the right decision of ending exploring the world during “The Age of Discovery” because there were many obstacles the Mings had to overcome and achieve to get the success they craved. One reason why the Ming dynasty ended exploring was because Zheng He believed it was a bad idea to keep getting people killed so they stopped the voyages completely. Zheng He’s first 6 voyagers died during the voyage so he decided to stop traveling immediately. The seven voyages of the Treasure Fleet were mainly about Zheng craved the Asians to be surprised and feeling sorry so that they can provide salute to the Ming. This fleet had merchant ships, boats, and many different ships sold that would transport across the sea through China Sea

A great example of someone who had the potential to do so much good, and obtain so much greatness was a Chinese admiral by the name of Zheng He. Zheng He watched his father die at the hand of the Ming Dynasty, along with being castrated himself. Zheng He was forced to join thousands of eunuchs, and then rose quickly through the ranks of the military. The emperor basically assigned Zheng He the task of leading a fleet of exploration ships. They sailed this huge fleet of ships to unknown areas in hopes to make friends with other countries, and the local leaders usually offered tribute and emissaries to avoid conflict. This whole process preceded the colonialism practiced by the Europeans in years to come. The question begging to be answered here is, are Zheng He’s voyages deserving of celebration?
