According to the great poet Robert Frost “The Road Less Traveled By” makes all the difference and in the end it will all be worth it. Modernism dates back to the 20th centuary mostly from Eupore, but in the occasion Robert Frost is a modern poet. Frosts poems were infleuced by multiple poets including Edward Thompson, Robert Grave, and Ezra Pound. He was also influenced by his very rough childhood where he had to help his mother who suffered from great depression which made his childhood very dark and bland. When Frost was twelve his father died of cancer and he was forced to live with his grandparents in Massachusetts(“Wikipedia. Wikimedia”).

In this critique it says that “The Road Not Taken” is greatly misunderstood which I believe one hundred percent. In this poem it seems like every phrase has millions of different meanings. In this poem it talks about two trails and one of them is perfect and green, It seems like everyone has taken that trail. Although the first trail is easier to take, the one less traveled by is worth it in the end. Just like in life you can’t take the easier path and follow the crowd; you have to take the path that is less taken even if it is harder now, later on in life It will be worth it. Robert also talks about how he stares down both trails as he tries to decide which path to take. In this it isn’t really talking about looking at two trails, it’s meaning that you have to look into the future when it comes to making decisions. Making the easier decisions is not always the best one. In most cases it isn’t the right one, There was a study done where kids were sat in a room all by themselves with a marshmallow in front of them and they could either eat the marshmallow now or wait and get double. Most kids decided to eat the marcshmallow as soon as they got it but if they would’ve suffered for just a little longer they could’ve had a better reward.
