My Pet Story
Once there was a dog-named Hercules, he was an Alaskan Husky. He was black and white. It Started out just a normal day for a 7 year old boy, I woke my mom was making breakfast, but my dad wasn’t there. She said he had to run into town to pick up some protein feed for the cattle. Half an hour later he walks through the door but he isn’t carrying any feed. He was carrying a husky puppy. We all dropped our breakfast and ran over to see the dog. Then my Dad walked up and put his hand on my shoulder and asked, “Do you like your birthday present?” I jumped and gave him a high five and said “Oh Yeah!” Then he asked me what I wanted to name it, before he came back with the dog I was watching the cartoon version of Hercules, so I chose

I would feed and water him, after he got done eating, he would “help” me with chores but he would always roll around in the mud so after chores I had to wash him off. Then after I washed him off I would play fetch or just run around. Then I would always take him out “hunting” in the woods. Once he caught a rabbit. I was so proud of him I gave him an extra treat.
The coolest thing about Hercules was that he was never afraid of anything. He always knew when something was out of the ordinary. For example we had a raccoon under the porch. One night my dad and I went out to check on a cow that was about to calve, when all of the sudden Hercules takes of and disappears into the darkness. Five minutes later Hercules comes back with a raccoon.
Hercules was a very smart and helpful dog. For example one winter we had to cut some wood. We decided to take Hercules along with us, so he could run around in the woods. When we got there, he jumped out of the truck, and ran around for a little while. Then we started loading the truck, Hercules ran over. I was only 7 so I was on stick duty. Once I started picking and piling up sticks, Hercules started to help me pick them up.
Another cool thing about Hercules was that he was a great thing was he was a great hunter. One example he would always have something new caught everyday. It could be a rabbit or a raccoon, a woodchuck or a
Using the portrayal of Hercules in Sophocles' tragedy Women of Trachis, a puzzling image of the Greek hero emerges. Most of the myths of Heracles portray him as a fierce warrior, tamer of beasts and a master of everything he attempts. This myth however, shows honorable traits juxtaposed with very negative aspects of the same man. Heracles is a paradox because even though he is a very great man and ideal hero, in some ways he is savage, highly emotional and even vulnerable.
In the myth of Hercules, Hercules’ archetype is most like the Warrior. He fears weakness. For example, in the myth, he takes on a warrior archetype for the quest. He wants to win so he can go back to Olympus, so he fights his way to the top again. He also takes the fear and dragon archetype of the warrior because he fears weakness and he doesn’t hesitate to confront or slay his enemies. In the myth, he becomes friends with one of them. The task and virtue is the warrior archetype for him as well. He fights for what matters
Hercules had succeeded and in return he achieved “fame, glory and peace”, which was his ‘kleos’, but as a playable character he can still gain more ‘kleos’ by fighting enemies (Wiki). His strength is emphasized as it is in the lore and most of his abilities revolve around his sheer, brute strength, and establishes him as one of the more powerful players to use. Smite portrays Hercules accurately and although it uses the Roman mythology of Hercules it is not that different from the classical Greek legends, and the main difference is that the names are changed to the Roman versions of the Gods’ names.
Perseus the son of Zeus is well known as the Greek hero no had killed the wicked snake haired lady Medusa, Hercules also the son of Zeus is a hero for his might strength and his will power to finish the 12 days of labor his cousin set up for him. A protagonist in the essay is both Hercules and Perseus because they were heroes, the antagonist is the cousin of Hercules and Perseus moms husband because they both sent the heroes to do something life threatening and courageous battles. Even though they both were Greek heroes they lived totally different lives when they were young and while they were older.

Hercules is best known as the strongest of all of the mortals, he is also stronger than many gods. He was the last mortal son of Zeus, and the only man born of a mortal woman to become a god upon his death. Offsetting his strength was a noticeable lack of intelligence or wisdom. He might have his bad times but he would do anything to help a friend. When his anger passed, he was the one who was critical about his anger issue. He was too strong for anyone to force a punishment on him. When he was punished, he showed patience, fortitude, and endurance that was something else other than his strength. He was one of a mortal role model, he was strong and not only that, he has other good characteristics too.
My Greek god is Hercules. I’m sure all of you know him from the movie created by Disney. We can all admit that he is one of the most famous gods out there. He is the god of war and he had many battle encounters throughout his lifetime. Hercules was a hero to the Roman people by performing a handful of deeds. He was also very popular for having a tremendous amount of strength and defeating many enemies. He is one of the greatest warriors in history.Hercules is the son of Zeus and Alcmene and was born in Thebes, Greece. When Hercules was younger he was somewhat clumsy and lost, he didn’t know how to control and deal with his powers. Some of his siblings were Apollo (god of light), Ares (god of war) and Celesta (goddess of death). Hercules was the
After reading the Edith Hamilton myth Hercules and watching the film Hercules, there is no doubt they differ from each other. However, both accounts feature Hercules and how he is considered a hero. From watching the film, viewers can conclude that to be a hero in American culture, you must be selfless, able to help people, and have a good heart. These characteristics are affected by the values of American society while the movie was being filmed. On the other hand, Greek culture considers a hero to be strong, brave, and someone who will make up for their mistakes. All of these traits are affected by Greek values during the time of ancient Greece.
Hercules: “ So you know how you told us about those dreams you were having about Zeus and we told that it meant nothing. Well we lied… You were cursed as a baby which made you forget about the fact that you’re actually a God.”
Hercules led anything but a normal life. From the moment he was born, he was special, not only to Zeus,
Hercules was adventurous manly because of what he was sentenced to do. Hercules was driven mad by the goddess Hera, and in frenzy he killed his own children. To atone for his crime he was sentenced to perform a series of tasks or labors for his cousin Eurytheus, the king of Mycenae.
The Greek mythical character I chose was Zeus. The reason I chose him was because he the big major one out of all the Greek gods. Zeus is known as the most powerful of the Greek gods and had a number of powers. His most famous power is the throwing lightning bolts.
What is a hero? Is it someone with superhuman abilities or god like power or is it just simple people doing the right thing? In this story it’s the combination of the two cause my hero is Hercules. Hercules’s story begin in a place called mt. Oplympus where gods all alike and different go to and where his father Zues rules over the world and beyond. But soon he would be taken away from his home up in the sky by Hates ,the ruler of the dead and the underworld, his minions and took him to earth and transported him from god to mortal ,but he still had one thing that didn’t change ,his strength that was stronger than many gods.Soon he figured out that he is not meant to be on earth but somewhere else far away. So he starts off to mt Olympus where only mortals can see the statue of
Heracles, and later the Latin Hercules, is the quintessential and one of the most renowned and worshiped Ancient Greek heroes, whose life and exploits, capturing the essence of the Greek culture, are the stuff of myth and legend. Son of Zeus and mortal Alcmene, Hercules derived his great strengths and his greatest weakness from his mixed parentage. He was born Alcides, and gained early renown as the mighty warrior and archer, vanquisher of king Erginus’s army, stalwart defender of Thebes, and wielder of Athena’s weapons. Yet, as the illegitimate child of Zeus, he attracted the jealous rage of Hera, who sent insanity upon him. In a blind rage Heracles murdered his wife and children. Upon recovering from the divine curse, he set out to clear his name, which ironically means “Glory of Hera”, by asking the advice of the Apollo’s oracle in Delphi. He received a prophesy, a concept that was universally accepted, commanding him to perform ten heroic deeds. As an additional reward, he would be granted immortality upon the...
