False memory is something that causes many problems in today's society and has so many effects on different things. False memory is an apparent recollection of an event that did not actually occur. This syndrome comes up in a lot of cases today and has been for so long. It can be helpful at times but can also be dangerous. False memory is fascinating on how it works. Overall I think false memory is a striking topic as a whole. This syndrome is striking to me because of the things it can affect. It can change someone's life in either a good or bad way. This topic gives me mixed feelings because of the outcome it can give off on people. False memories can be very helpful at times. This topic caught my attention by how it affects people in a good and bad way. During the video, she talked about how victims in a case have false memories at times and that is crazy to me because there could be prisoners out there on the loose and innocent good people locked up for life in a tiny little cell. But I think as time is moving on there is more psychologist hired to look at many cases to stop things like these. In addition, to false memory, there are definitely things that are very useful in a good way. Let's say you had a kid and you want him/her to eat the food you can implant many false memories into his/her brain to convince them to eat the food. Another thing that many parents could do is implant false memories into the brains of their young child to do good things. Like the saying every kid gets during Christmas about how Santa Claus will give you coal if you are naughty. So it tends to make the kids be good. I am very glad I watched this video because I never knew that there was false memories and didn't know how it worked. This topic of psychology amazes me and helps me see things I would have never thought
