Remembering Auschwitz

In 1940 the world saw the beginning of something terrible, that terrible thing lasted until 1945. That terrible thing is called the Holocaust, and big parts of it happened in Auschwitz. Sadly more genocide has occurred since then, even though the world has seen the horrors of the Holocaust. That is a sign, a sign that the world must remember. The world needs to be reminded of Auschwitz so that such a place may never exist again. The only way that this is possible is to embark on a journey to find out the size and purpose of Auschwitz and also what happened to it. This is the way that it must be, or the world is lost, and it may already be lost. But there is hope.
It is a well-known fact that Auschwitz was immense, For example there are fifty sub camps that are known of. Such as Oswiecim, Birkenau, and Monowitz are the three main parts of Auschwitz. Auschwitz was also around 25 square miles. It was most likely larger too, since around half of Auschwitz was destroyed to attempt hiding it. It is clear though that Hitler did a poor job hiding what he did, because otherwise there would not be pieces of Auschwitz that are now a museum. But Auschwitz was big in other ways too, because it was huge in Hitler’s final solution. Auschwitz was very large in many ways. In fact there is no way that six million Jews would have died if Auschwitz had not been in existence. Because over a million Jews died in Auschwitz alone.
Now it is a given that Auschwitz had some sort of purpose, but what was that purpose? Well everyone should know that Auschwitz was a death camp, one of the five death camps that were created. ...r to it never happen again, from this day to the end of days, because if something like the Holocaust does happen again then there is no more hope left for the world. No hope at all.
