Jamestown Reflection The Jamestown Colony almost failed because of many reasons. First they turned their back on the indians because they were worried that the spanish would attack. Second they were wearing heavy armour because of their fear of the Spanish and they died of heat. Third they build a fort and tried to hide in it so they wouldn’t get killed by the indians, the bad part about that is they couldn’t get food. They were worried about the Spanish because they were the ‘powerhouse’ and controlled the sea around where they settled. They were so petrified of the Spanish that they left the threat of an indian attack off their minds. Also they thought the Indians would give them food and gifts, but they didn’t so the Colonist’s didn’t
