The story of Romeo and Juliet
Romeo and Juliet is a tragic story, but i'm going to show you some life lessons we need to learn from Romeo and Juliet I will show some of the rash decisions they made in the story some rash decisions like getting married too soon, the fact That Romeo kills Tybalt because of mercutio's death. Or the fact that Romeo and Juliet killing themselves just because they claim they couldn’t live with each other.
In opening section 1 scene 1 Romeo says he loves someone, but she doesn't love him back. that might not be the case because this girl Romeo is talking about did not even see or talk to Romeo. In Act one, scene 5 Romeo meets Juliet in a Capulet's party, Romeo finally meets Juliet, except Romeo is in a disguise with the mask, Romeo was flirting with Juliet and Juliet was flirting with Romeo, that the reason why they kissed each other. Then when everyone was exiting the party in scene 5 Juliet asked who that gentleman was and the nurse asked who that was and ended up being Romeo. Tybalt would have not been fighting the Montagues, Mercutio and Tybalt would have not died. And definitely Romeo and Juliet would of not killed themselves. And her parents should have not forced her to marry Paris girls should decide on their own whoever they want to marry. So that's one of the reasons why she drank the potion and caused her to think of suicide. This still goes on today, some couples might want to go out with someone, but there parents wouldn’t allow it because the couple's parents might be racist. Or one family might be rich and the other poor, so there parents wouldn't accept them, it still happens today. You shouldn't die for someone, if it's their problem it's their problem, plus they probably would of not died for you
Romeo and Juliet is one of the most famous love tales, but what if the play is not actually a tale of love, but of total obsession and infatuation. Romeo has an immature concept of love and is rather obsessive. Romeo is not the only person in the play who is obsessed though. Many people throughout the play notice his immaturities about love. Very rarely was true love actually shown in the play. attention. Romeo childishly cries to his friend, Benvolio because Rosaline will not love him back and says " She hath forsworn to love, and in that vow/ Do I live dead that live to tell it now" (I i 219-220). Romeo is stating that he's ready to die for loving Rosaline. This is exactly the same attitude Romeo had towards Juliet a little later in the play. During Scene I, Act ii, Romeo's friend, Benvolio tries to get him to go to the Capulet's party to help him get over Rosaline and meet other women Romeo gets very angry and emotional when he suggests this. “Now Romeo is beloved and loves again, / Alike bewitched by the charm of looks” (II 5-6). Choices determine every outcome, A better way to put it is “What we do in life, echoes in eternity”, essentially every single decision one makes , no matter how minuscule, will always have an impact in one’s life. Fate isn’t real; Fate is a term commonly used by those that refuse to accept that they control their own future. Teenagers ever since the beginning of time were and still are expected to make poor choices due to their age. But once they learn to take responsibility for their actions they become adults. Both Romeo and Juliet make multiple decisions such as marrying, killing and suicide without stepping back and thinking about the consequences. In the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare all the choices made by the star crossed lovers have consequences. The two lovers blame fate for their misfortune. They refuse to believe that fate does not determine the end result, only they can do that.
As shown in the book hasty decisions lead to bad things. William Shakespeare has also mentioned this multiple times. There are numerous examples of this in his play Romeo and Juliet. Nevertheless impulsive choices make up most of this well known writing. These decisions are made by various characters and in different ways.
In act one scene two it says, "Benvolio urges Romeo to go to the party to see how Rosaline compares with other women." In scene five it says, "Romeo suddenly sees Juliet and falls in love at first sight." Romeo sees Juliet and immediately forgets about Rosaline. Romeo changed from loving Rosaline that broke his heart to Juliet that will eventually love him later in the story.
What goes on with love that makes people do crazy things? This gives us an example in Shakespeare's “Romeo And Juliet”. In Sarah Jayne Blakemore ted talk she talks about brains. This is an example of Romeo And Juliet because Romeo wants to kill himself and Juliet is like Romeo this is the reason we sow this video because Romeo and juliet have something in there mind about suicide and they just think about killing them self for each other. Ms. Blakemore's thesis on adolescent development sheds light on some of the nonsensical decision making in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, as characters certainly face the self consciousness, emotions and impulse control she describes.
In Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, two star-crossed lovers betrayed their own family in order to be with each other. Given that both Romeo and Juliet are both young, they made endless sacrifices and decisions just for them to be together without considering the consequences. All of their sacrifices resulted in vain as their tragic conclusion was their own death. Although fate played a significant role in the star-crossed lovers' downfall, Romeo and Juliet paid the consequences of their dreadful decisions due to their reckless rebellion which eventually led to their catastrophic ending. In the first few events that happened in the play, the readers have already seen some poor choices Romeo and Juliet made that eventually led to their death.
In the play Romeo states being in love with Rosaline and quickly forgets her once seeing Juliet. Romeo first laid eyes on Juliet at the Capulet's Ball where there it was love at first sight and forgetting about his once love Rosaline. Romeo then feels that hes fell in love over again and states “But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?It is the east, and Juliet is the sun. Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon,Who is already sick and pale with grief,That thou her maid art far more fair than she: Be not her maid, since she is envious;Her vestal livery is but sick and green And...
Before meeting Romeo at the ball, marriage was not what she desired. “It is an honor that [Juliet dreams] not of.” (1.3.67). Lady Capulet, Lord Capulet, and Nurse are all in favor of her marrying Paris, yet she does not wish to. Romeo had manipulated Juliet into moving quicker and she did not wish to. “It is too rash, too unadvised, too sudden.” (2.2.118). Juliet knows this is not right, but continues with the marriage. Romeo and Juliet’s decision to keep their marriage a secret also contributed to the tragedy. Romeo sees Tybalt as family, but how is Tybalt supposed to see Romeo as family if he is not aware? “ But love thee better than you canst devise/ till thou shalt know the reason of my love.” (3.1.61 & 62). By not telling anyone, Tybalt is offended by this statement, leading to the death of Mercutio. After the fuss, Romeo approaches and tells Benvolio, his cousin, that he is in love with Rosaline but she does not share the same love. Benvolio tells Romeo to forget about Rosaline and to focus on other women but Romeo assures him that there is no other beauty out there for him.
The choices Romeo and Juliet make are poor, and eventually resulted in their death. Getting married, killing Tybalt, and thinking with hastyness were all poor choices that lead to both of their deaths. Once in a while making bad choices doesn’t affect someone as much, but making then many times regularly does affect one’s life. This teaches people that we must think our actions through before committing them.
“Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare is a play about two lovers from different families that have an internal feud between them. It ends in both lovers, Romeo and Juliet, committing suicide as they could not openly live with each other. An important idea in this play is that of the impetuosity of youth and the rash decisions that young people may make. This idea is continuously brought up throughout the play and is explored through the concepts of overreacting and being blinded by anger, desperation in forbidden love and taking your life for love.
Shakespeare’s play, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, depicts an ancient feud ended by a pair of star-crossed lovers’ deaths. A lord and lady from warring families seek a forbidden love with guidance from a friar and nurse. Due to a tragic course of mischances and fateful errors, their attempt of eloping led the lovers to a tragic end. Because of rash decisions, the four characters are torn apart by miscalculating events and misunderstandings. Ultimately, the four characters encounter a heartbreaking ending, as a result of their hastiness.
Romeo and Juliet’s true love is being mistaken for infatuation because they are in lust and are not emotionally stable enough to be in true love.
The average person doesn’t meet someone, profess their love for them, and ask her hand in marriage all in one night… but Romeo does. In Shakespeare’s calamity of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo is the idiot that does all of this. I blame Romeo for the death of these star-crossed lovers, along with the other four characters. If it wasn’t for his impetuous nature, none of this would have happened. Romeo’s relationship with Juliet could be more thought out and more planned. Although the play ended with his death included, without him Juliet and others would have kept their lives.
Romeo and Juliet the best love story, right? Wrong! This people are nothing more than a tragedy, a very well written but nothing more than a tragedy. Teens walk around talking about how they want to be “Romeo and Juliet,” or how beautiful there love is. They knew each other just a few days, never even had a good conversation. They both were in love with the idea of one another and here are some ways to see it as what it is a tragedy. One the fight that was started in the first scene, two the death all throw it and last but not least, there death. Yes they die at the end. They kill their self over someone they saw at a party. Would you kill yourself over someone you were crushing on? Mostly, hopefully not, cause life is perishes and this is
