It can be hard to talk about racism, sometimes the problem is the way the word is defined or understood. People who has an aversion to the word racism believe that the word should be confined to the most extreme expressions of racial superiority. Racism should not be defined so narrowly. Racism refers to anything that has the effect of unfairly disadvantaged someone based on their racial background and can be expressed through belief and behavior. The honest and the righteous citizens of the world are not going to be silent spectators if some people from a particular race ruthlessly discriminate against people of another race.
Racism is a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race. It’s also a doctrine or political program based on the assumption of racism and designed to execute its principles. Racism exists when one ethnic group dominates, excludes, or seeks to end another based on differences that it believes are hereditary and unalterable. The increase in cultural and gender diversity in the workplace has obligated employees from different ethnicities and backgrounds to work together work together to meet the goals of the company. Unfortunately, differences between people have a tendency to lead to misunderstandings, and result in conflict and discrimination. Employer's have a responsibility to protect their employees from discrimination and unfair treatment in the workplace. Racial discrimination involves treating a job applicant or an employee unfavorably because he or she is of a certain race.
