The failing television networks have found a number of elements in reality shows which can save them money. Reality television shows are unconventional but have been become the most popular shows on the television in our society. Nowadays the media wants reflects how families really are in society. There are different kinds of families with different diversity. From a very young age, the media influence us and put an image or a perception in our mind of a family. Over the years, the idea version of a family has changed.as we have noticed family dynamics have changed over time from strictly patriarchal to more of egalitarian. Both of the parents shows same responsibility. However certain family roles are still present in today. The expectation from and father and mother are still there, even today father is still expected to breadwinner
Amongst all the things Julia created, a cookbook and a television show were some of the most notable. In 1961, with the help of Simone Beck and Louisette Bertholle, she wrote “Mastering the Art of French Cooking”, which was a colossal hit (Edgers & Hempel, 2015). The book was clear with precise instructions, and therefore “Became the standard against which all other cookbooks would come to be judged” (Price, 2018). Furthermore, In January 1962, WGBH invited her to star in a TV show about French cooking (Shapiro, 2007). In the show, She made sound effects, clanged pots together, spilled things, called things silly, and made a mess.
The Jersey Shore, The Bachelor, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and The Girls Next Door are just a few of the hundreds of Reality Television shows that are on today and have pushed the classic Brady Bunch family style sitcom aside. According to a study performed by the University of Michigan Health System, an average of children ages 2-5 spend 32 hours a week in front of a TV—watching television and children ages 6-11 spend about 28 hours a week in front of the TV. A majority of shows that dominate the airwaves today are Reality Television shows that can easily influence the young children and teens of society. In “Reality Television - Educational or a Waste of Time?” Marvin Pirila discusses the false realism Reality Television conveys their audience, the stereotypes that are portrayed in shows, and the poor ethics and values that give their viewers the wrong idea. The writer exercises a great use of effectiveness when portraying his position on the topic by having a great use of Logos, Ethos, and Pathos to appeal to his readers.
The ability to navigate a culinary environment with moderate ease is a skill most often associated with those of the female persuasion. By the time a young girl enters the daunting world that is adolescence, she is faced with some expectations. One of these being, learning most, if not all, the skills associated with cookery. However, gone are the years where education was reserved only for those with testosterone while the girls sat idly by, tending to the home and preparing meals for the husband. The stereotypes set in place by the cultural norms of earlier decades have begun to fissure, as more and more women find themselves immersed in the dog-eat-dog world of business. In my personal opinion, I strongly believe with this newfound equality between the forces of testosterone and estrogen, it is imperative that boys and men alike learn how to cook for themselves. The ability to navigate a culinary environment is one of the most important skills any individual, regardless of gender, can possess, because it nurtures an invaluable independence in the individual, ensuring their success as they leave the nest of their parents and enter the real world for the first time.
People have the fundamental desire to maintain strong connections with others. Through logic and reasoning, Sherry states, “But what do we have, now that we have what we say we want, now that we have what technology makes easy?”(Turkle). Face to face conversations are now mundane because of the accessibility to interact at our fingertips, at free will through text, phone calls and social media. Belonging, the very essence of a relationship has now become trivial.
As the world revolves, there are a lot of changes that happens in the world. For example, in terms of technology, there are a lot of improvements already. Back then, for example, features of mobile phones were only call and text. But more ideas have been developed and people have started to think about how to improve some things so that they can attract more consumers. The result is there are now more, in this case, high-tech phones with carious incredible features such as access to social media, hi-quality camera’s ability to upload to and download from the Internet, e-readers, and video calls for quicker and easier communication.
In the past decade, technology brings huge impacts on social interaction. From phone call to facetime, from blog to Facebook. Advance technology enables us to reach and communicate with people in a more convenient and broad way, no matter how far these people are away from us. Medium of communication are growing. However, some old ways of communications never fade out. And I am going to talk about
“We barely have time to pause and reflect these days on how far communicating through technology has progressed. Without even taking a deep breath, we’ve transitioned from email to chat to blogs to social networks and more recently to twitter” (Alan 2007). Communicating with technology has changed in many different ways. We usually “get in touch” with people through technology rather than speaking with them face to face. The most popular way people discuss things, with another individual, is through our phones. Phones have been around way before I was born in 1996, but throughout the years, they have developed a phone called a “smart phone”. The smart phone has all kinds of new things that we can use to socialize with our peers. On these new phones, we can connect with our friends or family on social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Technology has also developed Skype, a place you can talk with people on the computer with instant voice and video for hours. The new communication changes have changed drastically from the new advances made in technology through our smart phones, social networking sites, and Skype.
The food cooking competition started an hour and a half before noon. Each level and section are provided a list of ingredients that they must bring and use in making appetizer, main dish, soup, dessert and beverage. When the clock struck at 12:00, the judges start to taste and grade the food that they cooked. 2nd year students got the taste of the judges and won the contest.
Changes in technologies and many social networks are going to destroy our private life but always with our consciousness, they made our life more
Times flies like an arrow. Although we did not have many time hang out with you frequently, thank you for great improvement of communication device and the internet bring us to the new era of the technology, we can interact and communicate immediately though different platforms such as Facebook or WhatsApp, all behind the small screen in our multi-tasking smartphone. But do you think that we are so far when we get close? Because we all live in a virtual world, we were isolated by the smartphone. You should put down your phone and look up how beautiful world we are living in.

Consider a situation where a family is sitting at the dining table, the son pull out his iPhone, connects to Wi-Fi, and starts chatting with his friends on “Facebook”. The father has a Samsung Galaxy S4 in his hands and he is reading the newspaper online and using “Whatsapp” messenger while having his meal. The mother is busy texting her friends. They are all “socializing” but none of them has spoken as much as a single word to each other. This situation can be commonly seen nowadays. Technology has brought us closer and squeezed the distances but in reality, it has taken us away from each other. The rapid growth of technology has brought about significant changes in human lives, especially in their relationships. The latest technologies have turned this world into a “global village” but the way humans interact with each other, the types of relations and their importance has changed a lot. The advancement in technology has brought us close but has also taken us apart.
