Public medical education in China and India has a long history that has been both intensely responsive to the exclusive needs and medical customs of each country, and sensitive to global influences [1]. Medical education is the foundation for the establishment of a good health care system. Medical schools are making major changes in the structure and organization of the curriculum, adopting innovative pedagogical strategies for enhancing students learning, improving the methods used to assess students' performance, and focusing better consideration on the professional development of faculty as teachers and educators. Based on these remarks, it is obvious that a major transformation is now under way in the education of medical students.
Medical education research can effort on any number of topics, including curriculum development, method of teaching, student assessment, teacher evaluation, course evaluation, faculty improvement, admission and preparation of applicants for medical training, factors influencing career choice, research methodology, and use of technology in education.
Tuckman [2] defined education research as a systematic attempt to provide answers to questions. He illustrated the steps involved in basic research: identifying a problem, examining selected relevant variables through a literature review, constructing a hypothesis, creating a research proposal to examine the problem, collecting and analyzing the data, making conclusions about the relationships of the variables, writing and publishing the results.

...ning. Ultimately, patients and the community will be the beneficiaries of the education provided by the medical teachers [20]. Quality of medical education that the medical students receive will impact strongly on how well they will be equipped with the skills and attitudes to subsequently function as competent and caring doctors who can improve the health care delivered to their patients [21].

In a nutshell, our current medical education requires a huge shift from orthodox syllabus, process of teaching and educational policy to student friendly, research oriented, flexible education that embraces new studies with the changing demands of the medical system. Working collaboratively, we can pave the way for a stronger health care system and healthier nation through inclusion of health education services for economical anticipation, wellness, and disease management.
