While I was developing this unit I noticed how teachers deviate form the objectives when they are teaching a unit that is their forte. This may be undertaken by finding more than two approaches that could bring results to many different kinds of learners. In other words, finding a strategy that tailors all students; as oppose to, one student.

2. Your developing understanding of the relationship between the big idea (Enduring Understanding), your essential questions, and the integrated curricular strategies

To beginning with, this unit was created to give students an understanding on how fractions have many form of representations and how they can be manipulated to many form. In specific, how they have many alternative forms. It is evident that many times fractions are seen as a difficulty topic to teach and learn; however, it is proven that fractions are use in our daily lives. The role of collaboration in this unit was use in the advantage of the students. Through collaboration the students are able to get immediate feedback from their group and foster critical think opportunities on how fraction are applied in another person daily lives. Parent involvement was also a big component in this unit. Since, parents played an important role on how they wanted the information of fraction to be deliver to their child. This unit created a sense of community through collaboration of the teacher, students, and parents.
