I started my 10th grade year in Ms. Rolle’s class off on the right note, I’d say. I thought it’ll be like my freshman year in English, very lenient, nice, and basically a teacher who doesn’t give an overload of work. But of course, I was wrong. She’s actually the opposite.

One step to starting off on the right track in her class is to actually come to class. Coming to class is quite important, especially to a core class. If you don’t come to class and you’re at school, it’s very seldom that you’d get a chance to make up work that you’d missed. Not coming to class means you’re missing educational lectures and information for the English subject that can be used for your assignments and also EOC and ACT test that you would be taking this year. Not completing work because you decide to skip class isn’t good because you can actually fail, at least come to class and try to do work and get some credit. One thing you should keep in mind is that you have a slim chance of not getting caught while skipping during instructional periods so you shouldn’t even risk the chance of getting in trouble. …show more content…

You need to bring all needed materials to class to complete your work. If you don’t have your material, you won’t be able to do your work; therefore you’re likely to fail the assignment. you also need to be expecting pop quizzes and unexpected journals and essays. You need to have your own supplies because Ms. Rolle won’t keep supplying you every time you are in need of more supplies. Another to keep in mind as in being prepared is to be very organized. Being organized causes you to keep all work and materials in a neat and clean place you can later come back to find, because at a later date you will definitely be asked to pull it out
