The word pneumatics is the study of air movement and its phenomena is derived from the word pneuma (S.SATHIYARAJ, V.SELVAKUMAR, 2015). Today pneumatic system is mainly implicit the application of air as a working medium in industry which especially driving and controlling of machines and equipment. Pneumatic systems is powered by compressed air or compressed inert gases which must be made available in sufficient quantity and at a pressure to suit the capacity of the system. The first time pneumatic system was being adopted, however it had to deal with the question of compressed air supply. The key part of any facility for …show more content…

Nowadays, the important role of pneumatic systems in industries or modern car garage, the automation can be seen in many industrial devices, but, with the evolution of industrial automation, speed and reliability, the characteristics of low friction and long life-time are required more and more often for all pneumatic actuators. Most industries and car garage are using pneumatic system in development of automation solutions (Tokashi L.R. 1999). The main advantages using pneumatic systems are economy and simplicity and the following reasons affirms the benefits of automation which …show more content…

The principle of working is that a car to be lifted is driven in between the posts and is parked in a chalked out area with arms of the lift spread out sideways as shown in Fig 1. The arms are then rotated under the car floor, while installing the two post the garage personnel must estimate the place to put the arm tips, so that any damage to car floor or other parts underneath the car can be avoided. Then operator pushes a button that drives the pneumatic unit to provide the lift action using the prismatic joint employed along the post columns. The pneumatic systems for car lift has been developed and deployed around (Y. Rufeng,
