Each year over 100 million of animals are killed from rats, frogs, monkeys and fish. Animal testing is killing helpless animals each year, it is costly, inhumane and plan out cruel (Experiments on Animals: Overview). Animal testing is the practice of taking poor helpless animals and putting them in harsh conditions to test a product's safety for humans. They are put through series of testing to look for reactions like skin irritation and other side of affects of the product or medicine. These defenseless animals are left in the hands of murderers who care only about profit. Animal Testing should be banned because it’s cruel, it's archaic and unreliable. Animal testing goes back to 322 B.C times and used by Greek Physicians (Hajar M.D) . In more recent times it' has been a controversial topic because it is considered to be inhumane. Doctors would use this practice, just for their own curiosity. There have been laws passed in several different countries to make the testing more humane. Some of the different way include microdosing, Microphysiological Systems, and even human cell-based methods. Microdosing is the practice of prescribing new drugs to a human. This method allows researchers to get more precise reactions of the drug then as supposed to animals. Microphysiological Systems is the more “engineer” way, it uses a chip as known as “Human on a chip”. This is the human organs on a chip that allow people to get specific answers to certain questions, while not hurting animals. The last method is human cell based which is self-explanatory, it is the practice of letting a human body metabolize drugs.
