Sincerely this way for looking for a non suffering death is very inhumane. Euthanasia is a very non-ethical especially for the physicians who have to medicate this and watch this happen to their patients. How would you feel watching people die more and more quickly each day because of this drug? It must be heartbreaking especially if you studied to try to save people’s lives. We should try to fix a problem instead of creating new ones with euthanasia.
What is Euthanasia? Euthanasia is ending the life of a person deliberately to relieve their pain. It usually happens when a person is terminally ill or is suffering from a lot of pain and there is no other option to relieve the pain. Most of the time it is due to the person’s own request but sometimes it is done when the person cannot speak for itself and the family members have to decide for them. Euthanasia is really not a bad thing and it should be legalized in my opinion.
This example is used frequently by people against euthanasia. It is extremely hard to decide without a doubt that a patient can not recover. If the doctor had acted on the request of the family, then it truly would be murder. T... ... middle of paper ... .... It was in our good intentions to postpone their deaths to the last, but we have only put them and their families in pain.
Worst of all to have to be through all the pain the patient undergoes as they are at the point where their book closes. Families are affected whenever their loved one is diagnosed to die through suffering, nobody likes to be in the spot where there is absolutely nothing you can do to relieve them from their pain. Nobody likes the feeling of being dependent on others, especially if they have others to paying their treatments to keep them alive. A loss of function for ones self brings the fear of becoming a burden to family members, thinking that in order to get simple day life activities done they need help all the time depresses them. Being in depression is one of the most common leading factor in just wanting to suicide themselves.
If euthanasia became legalized then it would ruin the future by letting the all ill patients die without letting them to say goodbye to their family or our close people. We all are valuable and no one’s life should be sacrificed. Legalized euthanasia would not be beneficial in the long run because people may be asked to volunteer to die, doctors would give up on their patients and it will ruin the future of medical advancement. Pressure could kill some people and abuse them. Especially, someone who is weakened by ill.
Euthanasia also known as “Assisted Suicide” involves an injection that slowly kills a person that has been diagnosed with a terminal disease or has been giving a time limit on their life. Even though euthanasia is a very sad subject, it has a very positive outlook in the end. Euthanasia is a greek word for “good death”. There are different types of euthanasia such as Voluntary Euthanasia, Involuntary Euthanasia, Active Euthanasia, Passive Euthanasia, Physician-Assisted Suicide, and Assisted Suicide. The most common type of euthanasia is passive euthanasia, which includes withholding food, water, and surgery, also withdrawing the medicine needed, or removing the patient from life support is included in passive.
I hate seeing other people suffering from all kind of diseases. People should try to enjoy their lives as much as they can. Disease such as AIDS, there is no medication or any method can cure that disease. The legalizing of euthanasia can actually minimize the suffering of those patients. Legalize of euthanasia doesn’t simply mean that we encourage people to die.
There is nothing morally wrong with this idea. It is said our body is our own to cherish and worship but what happens when this ... ... middle of paper ... ...hanged and voluntary euthanasia is legalized it will be hard to keep it under control. Involuntary euthanasia will increase and soon doctors will terminate patients without permission to save money and free up beds for other patients.Euthanasia also gives a wrong message that its better to be dead than sick or disabled ,it also says that human beings have no value. Both sides have strong points backing them up.Deciding what is ethical is still a dilemma for some but from what i’ve always believed euthanasia to be ethical and this research just deepens my beliefs. In conclusion, when a patient chooses euthanasia to end its misery, everyone should respect his decision.Euthanasia is a temporary solution because no one can reduce the pain of losing someone but it is not the worst solution.Euthanasia is not the true solution to suffering. But its the best we have.
Some might ask whether it is worth to see your loved ones suffering, wouldn’t it be better to end the suffering? To answer this question we must know what euthanasia means. According to Fergusson(1992) euthanasia which comes from the Greek word ‘eu-thanatos’ which means “well death” or “good death”(Fergusson, A. 1992). Besides that according to the oxford dictionary sixth edition (1986) the definition of euthanasia is to” bring about gentle death especially in the case of incurable and painful disease”.
The most common reason people commit euthanasia is to help put themselves out of the misery of their terminal illness, as they only see physical and emotional pain their future. This is because, when living with a terminal illness, it can be extremely difficult to enjoy life just like everybody else. Some rules are better than none. Euthanasia takes place every once in a while, even though it is illegal mostly all around the world. It would surely be better to legalize and regulate the treatment known as “euthanasia” and minimize the factor of abusing it rather than not having any rules at all.
