Recommended: Side-effects of war

I was a blacksmith in a town named Ratae (Leicester). I had a very exultant life, 2 children, Adam and Nina and a beautiful wife Petula. It wasn’t a very big town, only small were everyone knew each other and all enjoyed the company of one another. It was a normal morning I woke up, and left for work, but on my journey I stumbled across sighting herds of roman soldiers coming from the west. I warned the others immediately. The kids and the women fled in a hurry to hide but we men stayed and fought, sadly …… we weren’t strong enough. I was put on a boat to Rome and shipped off.
