“Are you going to football tryouts?” yelled out Korwyn. “Yes I am,” I said. This was the day of football tryouts, and everybody was excited to go. I was very excited, but at the same time I was also very nervous. I proggresed through my day regularly and as the end of the day neared I got very excited. I knew I would make the team but I didn't know if I would start so I was nervous. The end of the school day arrived,and I headed out to the football field after changing. I was hyped for tryouts. All of my friends were there, and we were all going to be on a team. The coach called us up to see who was there and we were told to write our names and ID numbers on a paper. I started at slot receiver and middle linebacker, it was pretty nice but tiring. Our first game of the season was at Summit Jr High and we knew they werent good, so we knew we would win. After school that day we all got ready in out football clothes and cleats but the bus was extra late, so we had to wait a long time. “When the heck is this freaking bus getting here, we are going to be late,” said coach.The bus ended up getting there, “finally”,we all said and we left, it was like a 20 minute ride. When we got there we had no time to warm up because we were really late;however, we still ended up winning. We slayed them by a lot of touchdowns. I scored 2 touchdowns, I felt proud of myself. After our first win the team was excited but we knew that the team we had just played was trash so we still had to stay focused for the rest of the season. We won the next few games, we were undefeated. This was until we played Fremont, our first lost game. This game we thought we were going to win but we ended up getting destroyed, not by that many points but still. We then lost to Poston and Stapley, so we knew if we wanted to win the city championship, we had to work hard. The season ended and we were going to the
