A time when I felt hopeful, was when I broke my ankle at the Indianola Homecoming Football Game. So this is where my story started… It was a fall evening, and it sure was cold! I pleaded my dad to let me go to the Indianola Homecoming Football Game. Which was the first football game I have ever gone too! So he said that I could go and let me tell you boy was I delighted. When I got there I went and found my friends. We started to run back to the bleachers. When suddenly I tripped over the edge of the snow fence and I then heard a horrifying splintering snap, fizz of crackle, and a loud pop. I stood up and managed to get up to the bleachers. Then he wheeled me to the ambulance. That was a very scary time for me. In the ambulance, the guy had to take my blood pressure, my heartbeat and my pulse. My heartbeat was 100 beats a minute! That is really fast.They had the lights and the sirens. Finally, we arrived at the hospital. When we got inside the hospital I was put waiting in the hall for an open emergency room. So I finally got a room. Shortly after, my parents came and even my best friend and her mom came. They brought me snacks but I couldn't have them because they didn't know what was wrong yet, untill there would get an x ray picture of my bones. Then they came in a got the x ray pictures that they needed. It was about an hour later that they came in. They had told me that I had taken a hard fall and broke four bones in my foot, those bones were, Cuboid bone, Cuneiform bone, Navicular bone and part of the Talus. They put me in a boot and crutches for a month, had me go see a foot doctor, and then another month on just the boot. Then I had a lot of physical therapy. I was really hopeful that my ankle ended up healing the correct way, and I didn't have to have
