Diverse is a term I would use to describe my family before I was born. My family is extremely large. My mother’s side of the family is from Boston, Massachusetts. My great grandmother Elizabeth(May) Pettway is Native American. My grandmother Lena Pettway was married to my grandad Otis Pettway who is also half Native American. On my father’s side of the family my grandmother’s name is Bessie Watkins and her mother’s name was Alene Watkins. I never had the chance to know my grandfather on my father's side of the family.
