Personal Narrative: Homecoming Court

Experiences faced with time can be categorized as life changing, important, or even beneficial. Without them, being able to enjoy life’s delight would be virtually impossible. A life changing event, the alteration or circumstantial change in a person’s life, doesn’t always have to be traumatic or detrimental. An important event that I have experienced short-term was being nominated for my senior class’s Homecoming court. The first step, getting nominated for homecoming court, endured a lot of hard work. I started off with getting my hair done. The simplistic beauty of wand curls, feathered to the sides of my shoulders and down my backbone, made me realize this was the hairdo for me.
