Experiences faced with time can be categorized as life changing, important, or even beneficial. Without them, being able to enjoy life’s delight would be virtually impossible. A life changing event, the alteration or circumstantial change in a person’s life, doesn’t always have to be traumatic or detrimental. An important event that I have experienced short-term was being nominated for my senior class’s Homecoming court. The first step, getting nominated for homecoming court, endured a lot of hard work. I started off by campaigning, the opposition from competing candidates or organizations for a specific purpose, which is used to win an election or nomination. I started off with getting my hair done. The simplistic beauty of wand curls, feathered to the sides of my shoulders and down my backbone, made me realize this was the hairdo for me. Next, I got my make-up done. The process of applying the right amount of eyeliner, the right shade of eye shadow, and the right color of lipstick to tie in the entire look; thus, played an important factor in my appearance.
